Filippo Zani born 30th October 1649 - in the parish of San Biagio
His parents were Sebastiano Zani and Clemenze Silvagni
He was born/ baptised in the Parish of San Biagio (according to the notary records)
San Biagio was in Via S Stefano near Palazzo Zani. It was destroyed by Napoleon who then used it as a warehouse.
It had been very much a Zani Church where several members of the family had been buried. One buried there was Count Ercole Zani the famous traveler. The Zani family had donated money to it of several occasions over the years and there were inscriptions on the walls about the family

2nd Marriage
24 April 1690 Angela Rivani (of Joseph Rivani)
We found a notary record for a Giulio Cesare Rivani in Budrio in 1584-1591
It would be nice to think that Angela Rivani was his descendant - perhaps his grand-daughter
We know that The Bologna Zani had a summer Palazzo in Budrio - Villa San Marco, Vigorso, Budrio

Children
They had Francesca about 1695.
She married Donato Creti a famous artist
They had Giovanni Battista on 7 April 1697 whilst living in Strada S. Donato
The rest of our family descend from him
They had another child called Sebastiano who became a priest
From 1750 to 1766 he was at the church in Via Fusari called La Baroncella (or sometimes S Maria Labrum Coeli). I looked through the marriage records for that church and found his name recorded as being there and also his name as the officiating priest at many marriages
Dom Sebastiano Zani married his nephew Giovanni Battista senior to his wife Maria Nicolette de Moreschi
