Before Bologna was Florence

Giraldo Proconsul in Florence about 1340 had 2 sons

1. Joannis called Nanni who stayed in Florence and was elected Magistrate in Florence in 1381
2. Duccio 1380 - JC celebre; m.Lodovica and moved to Bologna

Ducio and Lodovica had; -Zano and Nicolo

Zano went between Bologna and Florence
He was born in Bologna
He was in Florence in 1427 and in 1433
It was said that he came from Florence
He was lecturer at "The Studio di Bologna" in 1420

Nicolo was Superintendent of Fortresses in Bologna
